COAA provides leadership to enable the Alberta heavy industrial construction and industrial maintenance industries to be successful in our drive for safe, effective, timely and productive project execution.
The Northeastern Alberta Aboriginal Business Association (NAABA) is a non-profit organization that consists of a growing interest group of Aboriginal Businesses, committed to enhancing and creating an environment, which promotes businesses, jobs, and training for the betterment of all aboriginal people in the region. Our association certifies that all Full Members are qualified by at least 51% Aboriginal ownership and are local to the Wood Buffalo region.
The Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) is Canada’s largest association for supply chain management professionals. We represent 7,500 members as well as the wider profession working in roles that cover sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory, and contract management. SCMA sets the standards for excellence and ethics, and is the principal source of professional development and accreditation in supply chain management in Canada.
Since 1962, the Association has represented electrical contractors. ECAA provides many services for its members such as representation on various industry boards, labour negotiations, seminars for specialized applications and management skills, industry meetings and conventions, and develops electrical apprentices through Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT). ECAA also helps members work through challenges with inspection authorities and general contractors.
The Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada is comprised of dedicated professionals working together for the promotion, improvement, and advancement of the mechanical contracting industryThe Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada (MCAC) is a national, non-profit business association. As well as Mechanical Contractors, MCAC welcomes service and repair contractors, manufacturers, wholesale distributors, and other construction industry related organizations. These dedicated professionals work together for the promotion, improvement, and advancement of the mechanical contracting industry.
The Progressive Contractors Association of Canada (PCA) is the voice of progressive unionized employers in Canada’s construction industry. Our member companies employ more than 25,000 skilled construction workers across Canada, represented primarily by CLAC. PCA provides advocacy, labour-management advice, networking opportunities, and organizational services to its member community.
The ACSA originated as a Safety Committee for the Alberta Construction Association (ACA) in 1975 and was officially registered under The Alberta Societies Act on November 9, 1988 as an independent registered not-for-profit organization. Our funding is partly provided through WCB levies and we are governed by a Board of Directors, comprised of members from the construction industry, trade associations, and eight regions. Our members include any employer with a valid account that falls under specified industry codes within the construction class, as recognized by the Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB). Since our inception, we have built a solid and trustworthy reputation for leading safety training in Alberta and throughout Canada. Construction companies in Alberta rely on the ACSA for their safety training. With almost 40,000 active members, we are the largest safety association in the province.
